# modifyColumn deprecated, why?

modifyColumn has only been deprecated but throws an Exception in 2.0.5 when used.

Why has modifyColumn been deprecated and been replaced by a tag with less functionality?

If I want to perform a simple modification like setting nullable to false, how can this be done?

modifyColumn is still in the manual while it’s replacement modifyDataTaype is not listed in the TOC.

Have you tried fixing it with modify-column.jar?
