Community Java Developer - Liquibase

:mega: Open Role: Community Java Developer

The Liquibase Open Source project is active and growing. Our worldwide community contributes code improvements and our team reviews, tests, and delivers these improvements as community releases.

The Community Java Developer will join the community team that reviews and accepts community PRs, develops improvements for the community, improves the Liquibase framework, and works with a core team of community developers that assist us in this endeavor. You will collaborate with open-source engineers all around the world, showcase your technical ability, and have a positive impact on a global scale.

We value individual freedom and embrace remote work. We hire internationally, based on merit, to create a diverse team of top-performing people no matter where they live. As a global team, we still highly value collaboration and expect everyone to work similar hours (including 8am-1 pm CST to overlap with our global engineering team).

What do you all think? Is a dedicated Java developer the missing puzzle piece fro Liquidbase, or am I off my rocker.

I think the Liquibase community rocks for embracing open source contributions. It’s like building the future of database management brick by brick, together.

While my own skillset leans more towards wrangling JavaScript these days (looking to hire angular js developer myself!), I’ve always admired the elegance of Liquibase for streamlining database changes.

Having a dedicated Java developer on the Liquibase team sounds like a fantastic move. It would be like adding a jetpack to the project’s development speed! Imagine all the improvements and features we could blast off with.

Plus, a strong Java developer would be the ultimate code whisperer, helping untangle any spaghetti code lurking in the codebase.
