Liquibase GenerateChangeLog not producing expected output

I’m running: liquibase generateChangeLog

I am getting an output file, but it’s only generating a view that exists on both database servers, and none of the diffs with regards to table schema are there. So I’m pretty sure I’m doing something wrong. But I don’t know what. The view that’s getting generated is this:

I’d like to confirm the following liquibase properties:

  1. “referenceUrl”: This is the url for the database SUPPLYING THE CHANGES
  2. “url”: This is the url for the database WHERE THE CHANGES ARE GOING

Finally, In my liquibase properties, I have the following:

  • changeLogFile
  • url
  • driver
  • username
  • password
  • referenceDriver
  • referenceUrl
  • referenceUsername
  • referencePassword
  • logLevel
  • logFile
  • classpath

From what I understand, I don’t need to provide a default schema. To reiterate: What am I doing wrong? Much thanks in advance!

generateChangeLog can only generate changlog for one database.

So, what is the command for comparing 2 databases? I tried diffChangeLog, and that also didn’t work. It just gave me: --liquibase formatted sql.
